Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 15-24g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
With Bai Shao, for Blood Deficiency Heat.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 12-18g Nourishes the Blood, astringes Yin, softens the Liver and relieves pain.
With Gan Cao, for abdominal pain due to disharmony between the Liver and Stomach.
With Huang Qin, for dysenteric disorders with abdominal pain due to Heat entering the Interior.
With Huang Qin and Huang Lian, for Damp-Heat dysenteric disorders.
With Dang Gui, nourishes Yin and Blood.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 9-12g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, relieves pain, clears Heat, cools the Blood and reduces swelling from sores and abscesses.
With Chuan Xiong and Dang Gui, for abscesses, boils and trauma induced pain.
With Xiang Fu, for flank pain, abdominal pain, and dysmenorrhea due to Qi and Blood Stagnation.
Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 9-15g Tonifies, invigorates and harmonizes the Blood, reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh and alleviates pain.
With Bai Shao, regulates and harmonizes Qi and Blood and treats Blood Deficiency Heat.
With Gan Cai, moderates spasms and relieves abdominal pain.
Rz. Chuanxiong Chuan Xiong 6-9g Invigorates the Blood and promotes the movement of Qi.
With Xiang Fu, for Qi Stagnation combined with Blood Stasis.
With Dang Gui, harmonizes, nourishes and invigorates the Blood and disperses Blood Stasis.
With Sheng Di Huang, Bai Shao and Dang Gui, for headaches due to Blood Deficiency.

Rz. Cyperi Xiang Fu 9-12g Spreads and regulates Liver Qi and alleviates pain.
